What is a safety sign?
- A safety sign is a visual alerting device which advises the observer of a potential
hazard. Safety signs can consist of words, a message panel, and/or graphic symbol that are shown in distinct colors to
warn and notify observers to take appropriate action in the presence of potential dangers.
How should safety signs be ideally made?
- The sign should clearly convey the intended message and be eye catching.
Combination of message panel and graphics must be made such that the message can be conveyed in a clear, concise,
and easily understood manner using graphics and text.
What are the different safety signs?
- Safety signs are categorized according to the degree of hazards present. They
are the following:
- 1. Notice Safety Signs — used to
convey safety information
- 2. Emergency Safety Signs —
used for the identification of safety equipment, first aid, or emergency exits.
- 3. Caution Safety Signs —
used to indicate a potentially hazardous situation or to warn against unsafe practices which, if these are not avoided, may
result in minor injury.
- 4. Warning Safety Signs —
used to indicate hazardous situations that could result in serious injury or death.
- 5. Danger Safety Signs — used
to indicate an imminent dangerous situation, which, if not avoided, will result in serious injury or death.
How can these signs be differentiated?
- These signs are differentiated with their colors to immediately recognize the
degree of hazards present. The color codes are as follows:
- 1. Blue — associated with notice
signs
- 2. Green — associated with emergency
signs
- 3. Yellow — associated with caution
signs
- 4. Orange — associated with warning
signs
- 5. Red — associated with danger

- Sticker signs are just similar to metal safety signs. We manufacture low-cost self
-adhesive safety-sign stickers of standard and customized to suit customers' needs for specialized safety-sign usages.

- Our safety signs come with free mounting
fixtures so you can easily and immediately install them. Such fixtures come in high-quality adhesive tapes, cable ties,
or screws and wall plugs.
Do your safety signs conform to international standards?
- Our safety signs conform to worldwide-accepted standards with respect to color
coding and word signals. Standard sizes are available, and other sizes can be made subject to customers' specification.

What is
Standard AS1319 all About?
Safety signs should be positioned in line of sight against a contrasting
background. They should be located where vision is not obstructed by machinery or stacked boxes. Employees should be
informed on their purpose. |
How durable is a sign indoors and outdoors?
- Our signs, if located indoors have a life of many, many years – that means,
twenty thirty or more years. Outdoors, a south facing sign will likewise last longer than a north facing sign in Australia. If
you have a choice, position your sign so they are south facing.
- Application of a UV stable film will greatly enhance the life of any sign outdoors
and is available as an optional extra at the checkout. We do recommend this as it does incease the like .
What do if I'm concerned about
graffiti attack on my sign?
- In such cases we can apply an anti grafitti film to your signs that means they can
easily be cleaned and made look like new again. The film we apply for both anti-grafitti and UV protection is the same and
can be selected as an optional extra at the shopping cart..
How can I order for your safety signs?
Can I avail of lower prices?
- There are volume discounts available when you purchase quantities and these
discounts are given at the final checkout. You obtain 5% off for 5 to 10 safety signs and 10% off for 11+ safety sign orders.

What is the payment term?
- All orders on-line are paid for via credit card as part of the ordering process. For
off-line orders, we accept credit card, EFTs and cheques at the time of order placement. This payment policy allows us
to provide you with the best prices for safety signs
Are other charges imposed?
- Where prices are stated as inclusive of delivery, delivery is effected from the
Australian factory to your nominated delivery address. Australian transactions are GST inclusive and a Tax Invoice will be
issued. For all shipments overseas, any inspection charges, import duties and/or taxes levied on importation to the
customer's country are to be paid by the customer.
Do your products carry warranty?
- The products are warranted for 12 months from date of sale against normal usage.
Our liability is limited to the replacement of the goods.
Are there any terms for customized products?
- For custom designs where the customer supplies images of any kind, the
customer indemnifies Safety Sign Shop .net.au (RCP) against all claims, demands, loss, costs, and expenses incurred by
or made against RCP, arising out of any actual or alleged infringement of patents, copyright, trademarks, design rights, or
other intellectual-property rights, by any logo, design, copyright, or other material that RCP may use, print, or reproduce at
the customers request.
What is your delivery lead time?
- Upon acceptance of the order by RCP, delivery time of the product is within 3 to 4
working days. For customized orders, the lead time is five days.
